Stress is a natural and normal reaction in the body when there is change. Stress can sometimes be a good thing for keeping us motivated, alert, or deal with new or stressful situations.

Stress becomes a problem when the body is not given a rest from the stress; the body starts to wear down and can cause physical, emotional, and unhealthy behavioral symptoms.

  • Eg. aches & pains, headaches, overwhelm, panic, depression, over eating, drinking and other addictions, weak immune system, trouble sleeping,..
  • With all the things going on in the world and the uncertainty of the pandemic, planning for the future has been difficult for many people. This has caused stress levels to increase so high that some are even struggling with even basic decisions, like what to wear or what to eat. On top of pandemic-related stress, people are having to deal with new stressors, including worries about inflation and global uncertainty.
  • When in a state of stress; decision making becomes reduced, postponed, or even irrelevant in the moment.
